jipped

ripped off, cheated in a deal: I've been jipped, this beer is half empty.

Contributor's comments: I'm not sure where I picked this up but now it's in Melbourne. It can also be used as a noun "What a jip!" I think it might have something to do with bad stereotypes of gypsies and spelt "Gypped".
