Leaping Leper

Used to describe the Sentinel steam railmotor used on the old narrow gauge Darwin - Birdum railway line. Also used to describe the mixed train that ran as well. The name was given due to the way the train rocked along the lightly laid line: I travelled up from Pine Creek on the Leaping Lena.

Editor's comments: Can anyone help out here, is it Leaping Leper or Leaping Lena? Of both?
